Canadian Tire Wickfest Milton, Ontario, October 10-12
The Ontario Women's Hockey Association (OWHA) and Canadian Tire WickFest

The Ontario Women’s Hockey Association (OWHA) and Canadian Tire WickFest are pleased to announce a partnership in celebration of the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association's 50th Anniversary.
This coming Thanksgiving weekend, from October 10 to 12, 2025, the WickFest event will take place at the Milton Sports Centre in Milton, Ontario. Information is available on the WickFest Website: www.wickfest.com
This event is designed for teams and features games, workshops, clinics on skill development and conditioning, as well as talks about chasing a dream in sports.
“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Dr. Hayley Wickenheiser and WickFest. The Ontario event will be a celebration of girls’ and women’s Hockey as we commemorate the OWHA's 50th anniversary.
Hayley continues to inspire people to participate in sport and excel in life through her solid values, excellence, and her commitment to give of herself for the good of others. She is an exceptional multi-sport athlete and a successful medical professional who has a powerful and positive impact as a role model and leader,”—Fran Rider, President of the OWHA.
"It's significant to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Ontario Women's Hockey Association through WickFest this October. The OWHA has been a true pioneer in advancing women's Hockey, creating pathways and opportunities that have transformed the sport for generations of girls and women.
Their five decades of dedication have opened doors that many of us, myself included, have walked through to achieve our dreams. I'm thrilled to expand our partnership with the OWHA and bring WickFest to Milton.
This collaboration embodies everything we stand for: growing the game, empowering young athletes, and ensuring that every girl who wants to play Hockey has the opportunity to do so. What better way to honor the OWHA's incredible legacy than by bringing together the next generation of female Hockey players?” Dr. Hayley Wickenheiser.
The OWHA is highly excited about this event to celebrate a fantastic past, build positive memories through sharing participation this year, and build even greater opportunities for the future.
